Admissions Procedures

In order to be eligible for admission to Kennedy School, you must live within the school’s catchment area.

A child shall:
  • Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the English language to enable him or her to benefit from a curriculum taught entirely in this language.
  • Live within the designated zone.
 
Children are normally admitted to Year 1 in September of the year
in which they become five years of age. Interviews to determine
fluency in English are held before admission.
The school year is divided into three terms.
  • First Term : From late August or September to December.
  • Second Term : From January to late March or April.
  • Third Term : From April to late June or early July.
There is a long summer holiday of approximately seven weeks. School hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. all year round, although we finish at 12.00 noon on the last day of each term.

School Zone
Admission to Year 1
