Trips and Camps

Building confidence and independence

Pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6 participate in a range of residential experiences at school camp. These camps encourage pupils to assume leadership, take individual and collective responsibility, show initiative, feel independent, make decisions, develop positive attitudes and reflect upon themselves in realistic and challenging situations. Good teacher pupil ratios allow opportunities for small group work and help to develop a genuine sense of community. The curriculum at camp focuses on environmental education, while expeditions, outdoor activities and recreation contribute to the joy of learning.
